The 4th Kansong art exhibition, titled ‘Mae, Nan, Guk, Juk – The scent of Noble Men ’, will be on display at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) until October 11, 2015.

Mae, nan, guk, juk come from the names of four flowers; apricot flower (maehwa), orchid (nancho), chrysanthemum (gukhwa), bamboo (juk) respectively. The four flowers are often referred to as Four Noble Men, as they resemble the appearance of a noble man’s integrity. These four flowers have been adored by many artists and writers in Korea and pass down the wisdom and beauty of Korean ancestors.

The exhibit is open late every Wednesday and Friday until 21:00, with a special 50% discount for visitors entering after 18:00. Audio guides are available in English to provide a better understanding of each artwork.
