1. Northern Region: Nature and winter sports in the highlands of Daegwanryeong
The northern region is home to many top ski resorts and is the
venue of the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympic Winter Games. Visit the wide-open
spaces of the Daegwallyeong highlands and majestic Mount Odaesan or the
literature village of novelist Lee Hyo-seok.

2. Southern Region: Summer leisure sports and eco-tour
The southern region is home to Pyeongchanggang and Donggang
rivers and the Pyeonghang County Office. With valleys of clear and
fast-running waters, the area is the perfect spot for rafting or
fly-fishing. For the more adventurous, there’re also outdoor activities
like paragliding, mountain biking, and trekking.

>> Spring: In the spring, visit
Geumdang Valley,
Korea Botanic Garden,
Farm Herbnara, or the valleys and forests of Pyeongchang for blankets of flowers and green. Try paragliding at
Jangamsan Gliding Site or mountain biking to add a little excitement to your springtime getaway.
>> Summer: Stroll through lush prairies of green, hike along quiet trails, or head to the valley streams for
rafting or fishing.

Daegwallyeong Samyang Ranch,
and Pyeongchanggang offer plenty of things to do and you’ll be able to
get some relief from the summer heat thanks to the higher altitudes.

Odaesan National Park, Hyo-seok Literature Village and Hyoseok
Cultural Festival are the perfect places to enjoy the fall leaves. Also try out the farm programs and eco-tours.
