Donghwasa Temple is the biggest temple in Palgongsan Mountain, with a 1,500-year-old history. It has 6 treasures and 7 cultural assets designated by Daegu city, so it has high historical values and many tourists visit this place.

In Donghwasa, there is a 30m high stone statue of a Buddha which is such a marvelous structure. This stone statue, called 'Tongil-yaksa-yeoraedaebul' was built in 1992.
When you visit Donghwasa temple, you will see tourists who earnestly pray in front of the statue.
