Spot “K-Smile Campaign” and win a free trip Korea!

The Korea Tourism Organization embarks on the “K-Smile” campaign in sync with promoting the 2016-2018 Visit Korea Year and the successful hosting of 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. In order to promote the campaign to a wider audience, KTO is to host a mega prize event, offering six lucky winners the tickets necessary for a trip to visit Korea!

Starting from November 18, 2015, the event aims to raise the awareness of “K-Smile” among tourists from all over the world and make them want to revisit Korea after experiencing the warm hospitality of the citizens. Designed to operate on a nation-wide level, the spirit of K-Smile can be discovered in every corner of the country, including major tourist attractions, restaurants, shopping malls and more. Therefore everyone is encouraged to enter the event.

When spotting a warm welcome whilst you travel, simply take a picture of the scene or with the person you had a great acquaintance and send us an email with reasonable proof in the forms of writing or a photo. Participation in both event formats is available until December 17 and multiple entries are allowed.

= Event Details & How to Register =

ㅇ Application period: November 18 (Wed)-December 17 (Thur), 2015
ㅇ Subject: Take a photo of K-Smile signage and share with a postscript to enter
ㅇ Details
■ Event 1) “Search! K-Smile” (Double entry for ① and ② is allowed)
    ① Take photo of K-Smile campaign signage on Seoul/Busan (BUTI) City Tour Buses
    * Website: Seoul City Tour Bus www.seoulcitybus.com (English, Japanese, Chinese)

    ② Spot and take a photo of the K-Smile slogan or logo on written ads and at tourist attractions.
    * Example: Stick-on ad, signboard, poster, placard, leaflet, etc.

■ Event 2) Introduce the best “K-Smile Queen & King”
    - Share your story of being acquainted with the kind hospitality of Korea/Koreans during your trip.
    - Attach a photo of proof taken together with the recommending person, in addition to your
    comment explaining the reason for choosing the person. For example, a photo of an employee and
    the name of the restaurant would suffice.
ㅇ How to enter:
    Email your entry to visitkoreaevent@gmail.com no later than December 17 (Thur), 2015; 23:59 KST.
    - The subject line of the email must be titled the category of event you’re entering.
       Example: Event 1) ①, ②, or Event 2.
    * Attachment of proof (image or document file) is required.
    * The date the photo was taken and the venue must be specified.
    - Double entry for Event 1 and 2 is allowed. Entering the both will increase the chances of winning.
    * Note: Duplicate entries (multiple photos of same place and/or person) will not be considered.
    - For Event 2, the form of commentary is not limited; however, the reason of your choice must be
    clearly explained.
ㅇ Prizes
    1st Prize (1 person): Round-trip tickets to Korea + 2-night accommodation voucher at luxury hotel
    (Double/Twin Rooms)
    2nd Prize (2 people): Round-trip tickets to Korea
    3rd Prize (3 people): 2-night accommodation voucher at luxury hotel (Double/Twin Rooms)
